The name Yemanja-O reflects the Afrikan deity of the water surface known as Yemanja. At the same time the letter 'O'  represents the initial letter of the deity of the waters deepest depths known as Olokun. Here, the harmonious and complementary divine masculine of water is represented with the divine feminine. The initial letter of  'O' is utilised not to diminish the power of the masculine in any way but to retain brevity of expression as well as the familiarity of previous iterations of the name as it has been used here previously.

Yemanja-O as an institution of learning, spirit and culture and has a range of important activities on offer.
