On February 21st, 1965, Malcolm X was shot and killed.
Malcolm X was only thirty-nine years old when he was killed, but he and been a spokesman for Africans everywhere in the U.S. He made Black people aware of two important strengths: self-love and self-reliance.
Malcolm's life was never an easy one. His father died when he was a young boy, and his mother became ill soon after. It wasn't long before Malcolm was getting into trouble. As a young teenager, he was placed in a detention home. He was in prison by the time he was twenty years old.
