It is with regret that we bring you the news that unfortunately due to mounting financial pressures stemming largely from the present economic climate the retail outlet we know as Yemanja – a window to Afrika is now closed. We know that this will have come as shock to our customers and community and apologise that we were not able to give you prior warning. However, Yemanja is a small family business and the fact that we have been bearing increasing financial burdens left us with no alternative but to take immediate action.

Running a viable culture store such as Yemanja is very difficult under ‘normal’ circumstances, so the current economic downturn has taken a heavy toll despite our best efforts.

However Yemanja A Window to Afrika is not gone from our community, the website is still up and running and orders /enquiries, from existing stock, can still be made via the website www.yemanjaonline.com or via e-mail: info@yemanjaonline.com.

We will be taking some time and space to reflect and review how best we can move forward as a business entity that operates in and supports our community.

We hope that you will understand that this was an extremely difficult but necessary decision and would like to send a heartfelt thanks to all our valued customers and all of you who have supported us over the years.

In the meantime we wish you all a rich and fulfilling Kwanzaa and look forward to renewed strength and prospects for the new year.
